As a gift for a five-year friendship anniversary, I made fanart for my friend SemperViridis's AU Silmarella, where Maglor and my OCs are in a hair metal band in the 80s.

Tu B'Av is from the evening of Sunday August 18th to Monday August 19th this year; Tu B'Av is a minor Jewish holiday that is like our version of Valentine's Day, an auspicious time for engagements and weddings. In keeping with the theme of love, I would like to take this time to thank my friends for being here and supporting my creative endeavors, I appreciate your presence in my life, and I'm sorry I'm not around as much as I'd like to be, this has been a challenging year and I have more hurdles ahead of me and am dealing with pretty hardcore autistic burnout, but please know I care about you.

Without further ado, here are nine images, since I went kinda crazy with the love theme. And while I made these myself, they would not have been possible without all of the art semperviridis has done for me which enabled me to tweak the faces from their AI bases to their recognizable fabulous selves.

Shavuot fell on June 11th this year and it's June 14th today so I'm a few days late but I was in the hospital earlier this month and there wasn't a lot of time to remind-poke SV to tweak the pics. Better late than never, right?

I now have a complete seasonal set [and just a few more Jewish holidays to make art for]. Six images behind the cut, generated by me and tweaked by SemperViridis in April 2024.

So the story behind these seven images is that in March [2024] I was trying to get bases for Purim art re: Nicholas wearing a silly hat, as silly hats are custom for Purim. The generator refused to make silly berets or top hats or cowboy hats for him, while it did so for other characters - for example, prompting a rainbow glitter beret just gave me a black beret and Nicholas with an extremely serious, dignified expression on his face, as if he were refusing. 😆 Finally in desperation I prompted for catboy ears and it actually complied. I decided these were too cute not to post here.
